Growing up in the wilds of North Devon, Mike completed his degree in Music at the University of Surrey, and went on to study drums with the legendary Bob Armstrong. Mike currently divides his time between live and studio drumming (and quirky percussion work), writing library music and music for TV commercials, and producing other artists.

Sonor Drums

Sonor make some incredible drums. Their quality control is excellent, and the SQ2 range offers a good selection of woods and shell thicknesses. I currently play a vintage shell Beech Sonor SQ2 Kit, but also use a Maple Delite.

Protection Racket Drum Cases

Cornwall’s (and the world’s!) finest drum cases. They last for ever, are really well designed and light-weight, and do their job incredibly well. Much kinder to the inside of my car than hard cases too! I also use their stick bags, cymbal bags, and drum carpet.
